Growing your family, whether it's for the first, second or seventh time is something that you will look back on with a sense of pride and accomplishment. There are so many exciting things to do! There are so many wonderful experiences to share with your family and friends, and so many things to get done.
We are here to take some of the stress off of your shoulders so that you can concentrate on what is important to you. We will be by your side every step of the way, helping you take care of your family and checking off that ever important to do list.
When you first contact CMD, you can expect a response to your inquiry the same day, often within just a few hours, to set up afree phone consultation with one of our owners. On this call we will take the time to get to know you, your family, and your desires for your pregnancy, birth and postpartum period. Your family is unique and we want to get to know you so that we can match you with your perfect doula team.
Learning about your family’s needs and desires during this special time in your lives is an important first step to creating your support system. Taking time to answer all of your questions and walk you through each step of the process is just the first way the Colorado Mountain Doula team takes special care of you and your family.
Before your in person consultation with your hand picked doula team, you will receive our customized welcome package in the mail. Inside you will find everything you need to know to start preparing for your journey.
We know that you live an active life and we want to make the process of getting to know your team as efficient and relaxed as possible. Our doulas are professionally trained to attune to your needs, answer all of your questions, and put your mind at ease. Upon contract signing, your doula team is available to you, 24/7 via phone, email or text to continue providing you with excellent service at any time of day or night.
Prenatal Support
Your doula team comes to your home again, in your third trimester for your prenatal visit. Together with your doulas your birth blueprint will be built, based on your wishes and desires. Your doulas will answer any questions you have and help you navigate your options as you prepare for your birth experience. You can feel safe and secure knowing that your doula team has taken the time to get to know you, and your plans and they will be with you, encouraging you and taking care of your entire family throughout your labor and birth.
When your baby's birthday arrives, feel comforted knowing that one of your doulas will be there to talk to you through the process, give ideas and encouragement along the way, and be by your side when you call. You know your doula team well, and they know you. When the time comes for you to give birth, your CMD doula will be there for you, any time of day or night.
The CMD difference continues with hands on care in your home. After the birth of your new little adventurer, your doulas will return to your home for a postpartum visit. We look forward to chatting with you about your experience and answering questions about your recovery from birth and baby's transition to the outside.

Our Postpartum Doulas provide professional, knowledgeable support, and hands on experience to ease your family through this transition. Special Circumstances
No matter what your personal circumstance is, we are here to help. The process of birth is a fairly straightforward process, but sometimes things happen that we have no control over. Sometimes life events cause changes we didn't plan for, and sometimes our individual lifestyles are perceived as "outside the box" to others.
Whatever YOUR circumstance is, we can guide you through the birth process. We have experience in several "out of the box" areas with birthing families and welcome those experiences without judgment.
